How Portuguese people prepared Macaroons?

Before coming to India the Portuguese people used Almond powder, Egg, and Icing Sugar to make Macaroon.

After coming to India, they missed their favorite food, Macaroon, so they started making Macaroons with the things available here in Thoothukudi.

In those times they came to know that the available things are Cashew nuts, Egg and normal sugar. The result of their preparation gave a similar taste of their Portuguese Macaroons.

How to prepare Thoothukudi Macaroons in Bakery

Step one : Segregate the white of the egg and stir it well and well till a bubble-like thing appears.

Step two: Put some Cashew particles and ice sugar on the mix and keep on stirring until the mix becomes like a paste.

Step three: Get the paste-like things by cones and lay them with the actual macaroon shape ( cone shape ) in a tray.

Step four: Keep it in a microwave oven.
