Karapettai Nadar Higher Secondary School was founded Duraichamy Nadar in the year of 1935.

This school was upgrade to high school on 11th June 1951.

The school became a Primary school in the year 1946 - by Mr. A Nadarajan.

8 Classrooms were opened by Perundhalaivar Kamarajar on 14 June 1953.

Launch of English Medium : 1963

Upgraded to Higher Secondary : 1978

Inauguration of Vinayagar Temple in the campus : 1987
